After-class activities #GLS German Language School in the second week of August 2020

rThe sun is shining in Berlin and you hardly feel Corona in town ... but we still have to adapt our extracurricular activities a bit.

We can't organize weekend trips for groups right now, but if you feel like exploring the lakes around Berlin on your own or with friends, just ask Lisa: You'll find her at the reception in the lobby, and she'll be happy to give you tips where to go and how to get there best.

And here this weeks's activities:

TUE 11 August

Seminar: The Berlin Wall

Sebastian will give a seminar on the Berlin wall. The wall divided Berlin from 1961 to 1989, isolating the western and capitalist part of the city from its socialist surroundings. How come this wall was built? Why did it fall? And how did it influence the lives of Berliners?
